Treasure
Mt 6:21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
Mr 12:43 And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury:
Mr 12:44 For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of
her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living.
Want(1828)
3. Poverty; penury; indigence.
Even though the rich gave much,
they gave little in comparison to this widow. It’s not about how big the amount
is. It was the faith to trust God and give as He asks.
She was in want, in need, but still
gave all she had.
Oh that the Lord would move our
hearts to have the faith and obedience of this woman!
Hag 2:8 The silver is
mine, and the gold is mine, saith the LORD of hosts.
1Co 10:26 For the earth is
the Lord's, and the fulness thereof.
What do I own that is not Gods?
All I have, He has given. He owns it all. I am but the steward for my Master.
Lu 6:38 Give, and it shall
be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running
over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete
withal it shall be measured to you again.
Mt 6:20 But lay up for
yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and
where thieves do not break through nor steal:
Mt 6:21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
Re 4:11 Thou art worthy, O
Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things,
and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
